“Chase Chrisley Reveals SHOCKING Secrets Behind Todd & Julie’s Tearful Reunion”
The Chrisleys are shedding a few happy tears.
One day after Todd Chrisley and Julie Chrisley were released from prison as a result of presidential pardons from Donald Trump, their son Chase Chrisley detailed his parents’ emotional reunion.
“They both just burst into tears,” the 28-year-old told Entertainment Tonight in an interview published May 29. “My dad wrapped his arms around my mom, and I don’t think he’s let go. I don’t think he’ll ever let go.”
And while Todd—who shares kids Savannah, 27, and Grayson, 19, and has custody of granddaughter Chloe, 11, with Julie, and is dad to Lindsie, 35, and Kyle, 33, from his previous marriage to Teresa Terry—was emotional during the reunion with his wife, he wasn’t the only sentimental Chrisley Knows Best alum in the room.
“We were all hugging each other and crying,” Chase continued. “It was just a beautiful moment, and answered prayers for sure. I can’t even describe the amount of joy that I felt.”
Of the enormity of the moment, he added, “I don’t think it really hit me until they were both home, and I got to see my mom and dad hug each other and embrace each other.”
Plus, when Todd and Julie—who were set to be incarcerated until 2032 and 2028, respectively, for their convictions on tax evasion and wire fraud—reunited, they got to see the transformations each other had made since beginning their prison sentences in 2023, including the matriarch’s new brunette look.
“My mother’s an angel and she’s still a beautiful woman. Her hair is darker now,” Chase explained. “I’m like, ‘Mama, we gotta go back platinum blonde.’ And she was like, ‘I’m not doing that.’”
The reality TV star also echoed his sister Savannah’s comments about Todd’s newly-toned physique.
“My dad is jacked,” he said. “He hit the gym hard.”

Todd Chrisley is the patriarch of the Chrisley family.

He was born in Georgia in April 1969 and raised in South Carolina. He and first wife Teresa Terry welcomed daughter Lindsie Chrisley in 1989 and son Kyle Chrisley in 1991 before splitting a few years later. After their breakup, Todd wed Julie Chrisley (born in South Carolina in January 1973) in 1996.
Together, they added to their family with the births of kids Chase Chrisley, Savannah Chrisley and Grayson Chrisley and the adoption of Kyle’s daughter Chloe Chrisley. They also went through challenges, including Julie’s 2012 breast cancer battle (she’s now cancer-free).
As Todd said on the premiere of Chrisley Knows Best—a show that followed the family’s ups and downs as well as their rich lifestyle in Atlanta and later Nashville—he made “95 percent” of their money through his real estate business before entering reality Tv. As for Julie, she was working at a bank when she started dating Todd.
Chrisley Knows Best ran from 2014 to 2023 and led to spin-offs like Growing Up Chrisley and What’s Cooking With Julie? as well as other media ventures like the family members’ podcasts.
In 2022, Todd and Julie were convicted of fraud and tax crimes, and they were originally sentenced to 12 and seven years in prison, respectively (with him being held in Florida and her being behind bars in Kentucky). The couple had pleaded not guilty.
In May 2025, President Donald Trump pardoned Todd and Julie and they were released from prison.
