“Drew Never Saw THIS Coming! Nina’s Shocking Betrayal That Could Free Willow!”

No one wants Willow to be with Drew on General Hospital. Carly doesn’t want it, Michael doesn’t want it, Sonny doesn’t want it, the Quartermaines aren’t thrilled, and the kids… well, we don’t know what the kids want, but they’d probably prefer their dad, in any case. Also, there are the viewers.

Viewer sentiment definitely seems to be in the “ewww” camp. The only ones who seem to want Drew and Willow together are Drew and Willow.

Though she is still wearing Michael’s wedding ring. Even as she makes out with Drew on local TV at the red carpet lead up to The Nurse’s Ball.

You know who could end this with one single phrase? Nina. Will she? Well, that depends… is she a good mother or a bad one?

The Good Mother

A good mother wants to protect her child. Nina (Cynthia Watros) could protect Willow (Katelyn MacMullen) by telling her that, before he slept with Willow, Drew (Cameron Mathison) slept with Nina. That’s a real romance killer.

Is the real reason Nina hasn’t broken the news yet that she wants to protect her daughter’s heart? Or because she doesn’t want Willow mad at her?

Nina lost Willow (and poor, dead psychotic Nelle [Chloe Lanier]) for decades. She is likely terrified of Willow being furious with her again, like she was for months after the truth came out. Nina just get her long-lost baby back. Can she risk losing her for good this time?

The Bad Mother

The flip side of that, of course, is that Nina is being a bad mother by not forcing Willow to see the truth about the man she’s attached herself to.

If Willow were to break up with Drew, Carly (Laura Wright) would likely drop the custody suit for Wiley and Amelia.

(Yes, yes, we know… theoretically, Michael [Rory Gibson] is the one suing. We all know who’s pulling those strings, don’t we?)

Yes, it might sever Willow and Nina’s newfound connection. But it would be what’s best for Willow. Is Nina being a bad mother by not sacrificing her own happiness for her daughter’s?
