Y&R spoilers: Cole Confesses All His Sins – Victoria Says 3 Sentences That Made Him Cry
The Young and The Restless spoilers and updates reveal fans were pleasantly surprised to see Cole Howard (J. Eddie Peck) seemingly feeling better in the May 20 episode.
Upon his return from the business trip for Newman Enterprises’ publishing division, he was not in great shape.
Coughing Fits And Weakness Along With A Fever
Initially, a coughing episode during dinner at the GCAC with Victoria Newman (Amelia Heinle) and Claire Newman (Hayley Erin) raised some alarms.
Shortly thereafter, Cole required urgent medical care as his condition deteriorated, leading to a troubling fever. Consequently, he was isolated in a hotel room at the GCAC due to a peculiar strain of flu.
He insisted that both Claire and Victoria keep their distance to avoid exposure to his illness. This sparked rampant speculation among fans, with many fearing that Cole’s time in Genoa City was running out.
Cole Is Back, And More Permanent Plans Being Made
It was wonderful to see Cole back on the canvas this week; not only was he feeling much better, but Victoria also surprised him with an invitation to move into the tack house.
Claire would be overjoyed to have both parents living together, and Victoria made sure to check in with Johnny Abbott (Paxton Mishkind) and Katie Abbott (Sienna Mercuri) about their feelings on the matter; both were supportive of the idea.
This is fantastic news for fans of Cole, Victoria, and Vole, but it does raise some questions. Why have Cole suffer from the flu if he was going to recover so quickly? He didn’t even require a hospital visit, and the whole situation lacked significant drama.
There Would Have Been Easier Ways To Explain Cole’s Absences
Given that Cole isn’t a significant figure in Genoa City, there must have been simpler methods to explain his absence without dramatizing his flu situation or implying serious consequences.
A straightforward explanation that Cole was away on business for an extended period would have been adequate-however, this situation feels more complex.
Could it be that Cole is not being truthful about his health status; is he concealing details about his condition to shield Victoria and Claire?
Perhaps doctors are still conducting tests related to his unusual illness-what consequences or challenges might emerge in the aftermath? Is Cole on the brink of death, or is he intentionally deceiving about his recovery, or is he just lacking the complete information to share with Victoria?
Perhaps a complication from his flu strain will surface in the coming days; is it possible that Cole could unexpectedly die soon after relocating to the tack house?
