The Young and the Restless (Y&R) recap for Tuesday, May 6, reveals that Nick Newman’s (Joshua Morrow) marriage confession will stun Victoria Newman (Amelia Heinle) while Sharon Newman (Sharon Case) gets grilled about what’s going on with Mariah Copeland (Camryn Grimes).
At Society, Sharon will show up for a takeout order and seem like she’s trying to avoid Tessa Porter (Cait Fairbanks), who’ll bring up Mariah and her weird behavior lately.
When Tessa wonders if she did something wrong, Sharon will spark more questions with her certainty that Tessa didn’t.
Tessa will realize Mariah may have confided in Sharon, but Sharon will insist Mariah didn’t tell her anything specific.
In the end, Tessa will worry that either she’s to blame or something happened on Mariah’s business trip.
Once Daniel Romalotti Jr. (Michael Graziadei) arrives for his guitar lesson, Sharon will take off in a hurry.
Tessa will head to the park with Daniel, who’ll notice she seems sad and will push her to open up.
That’ll lead to Tessa’s admission that Mariah seems to be hiding something from her – and she’ll fear it’s something bad.
At Crimson Lights, Victoria will give Nick updates on Cole Howard (J. Eddie Peck) being in self-isolation while they wait for test results on his medical condition.
After Nick shares some complimentary words about Sharon following their London trip, Victoria will be convinced they’re getting back together.
Nick will eventually fake Victoria out by claiming he married Sharon while they were away.
Victoria will reel over Nick and Sharon’s elopement until she realizes her brother is just messing with her.
Once Sharon pops up on Tuesday’s Y&R episode, she’ll speak with Nick privately about Mariah’s secret and make some worried predictions.
Although Mariah didn’t tell Sharon exactly what she did on her business trip, Sharon will have a pretty good idea and will worry about what’s going to happen to the life Mariah’s built for herself.
At the GCAC, Adam Newman (Mark Grossman) will show up for a meeting with Claire Newman (Hayley Erin) before realizing Kyle Abbott (Michael Mealor) is going to be part of this meeting as well.
Adam will assume Kyle and Claire want him as an ally against Victor Newman (Eric Braeden), but they’ll explain they want a deal on his old apartment.
That said, Claire will be hopeful that if they do reach an agreement, it might help Victor come around on their relationship.
Adam won’t be willing to poke the bear and help them stand up to Victor, but he’ll still be willing to strike an apartment deal.
Kyle and Claire will end up going back to Adam’s old place off-screen to check it out.
At the Abbott mansion, Jack Abbott (Peter Bergman) will surprise Diane Jenkins Abbott (Susan Walters) with breakfast in the dining room and apologize for doubting her about the renovations.
Diane will bring up Billy Abbott’s (Jason Thompson) belief that she erased John Abbott (Jerry Douglas) from the Abbott house, but Jack will think Billy just likes to be an outlier.
However, Diane will worry that maybe Billy would’ve liked the changes if someone else had been behind them.
After Diane reflects on wanting to be accepted as a real Abbott, she’ll break down in tears since she didn’t get that from her own family.
Once Jack comforts Diane, Kyle and Claire will arrive with news about possibly buying Adam’s old condo.
Diane will sense that Claire’s struggling with some doubts about moving in with Kyle and will corner her alone.
Claire will still feel certain about this new adventure with Kyle, but she won’t know how to live her own life and get Victor to trust her decisions.
Diane will warn Claire not to make a move like this and take on Victor unless she’s absolutely ready.
