Who doesn’t love Diane on General Hospital? She is one of the most fun-to-watch characters on the soap. When Alexis asked for help, she had the perfect plan.
Besties Til The End
One of the most incredible things about Diane (Carolyn Hennesy) is her friendship with Alexis (Nancy Lee Grahn).
These two are there for each other through thick and thin. Alexis may not have made it at times without her friend standing by her side.
Ava (Maura West) thought she had Alexis right where she wanted her. Her war with Kristina (Kate Mansi) had been headed towards disaster for a while, and it finally got there.
Alexis’ daughter tried to kill Ava but injured Ric (Rick Hearst) and Elizabeth (Rebecca Herbst) instead. Unfortunately for Kristina, the whole thing was caught on video.
Ava, being Ava, tried to blackmail Alexis to get part of the Cassadine estate fortune. Instead of giving in, Alexis went to her bestie, who gave her a solution.
Diane suggested that her friend have Kristina committed. Her daughter may spend time in Ferncliff, but she will not go to prison. This will also foil Ava’s blackmail scheme. It’s killing two birds with one stone. Leave it to Diane.
The Fallout
It doesn’t look like Ava will receive any of the Cassadine fortune, at least for now, so she will still have money problems. Alexis will commit Kristina, and she will hopefully get the help she has needed for a long time.
But will Kristina ever forgive her mother? What will Sonny (Maurice Benard) think of this? Will he be angry at Alexis or be on her side?
Others are involved in this mess as well. Ric is angry and might try to get Kristina sent to Pentonville anyway. Plus, he didn’t approve of Ava’s blackmail scheme, so their relationship may be over before it started.
Then there’s Molly (Kristen Vaganos). Her war with her sister may start again when she discovers the truth. This story is far from over. What do you think will happen next? Let us know in the comments section.
