What’s Happening on General Hospital: Sam’s Gone, Michael’s Next and Now Dex, Too?!?

The minute General Hospital dropped its latest preview, we started worrying right along with a lotta fans since it looked an awful lot like Dex got stabbed in Rice Plaza.

And since, of all people, he ran into Cyrus there in Monday’s episode (recapped here) — and we now know that Laura’s brother killed Sam — our fears only multiplied.

Things only got scarier when in Tuesday’s episode (recapped here), our favorite rookie cop was attacked. “If Dex dies,” tweeted a viewer named Gigi, “I am going to lose it!”

But not everyone was as freaked out as we and Gigi were. Some members of the audience were excited —

 not by the prospect of Evan Hofer being offed as Dex but by the possibility that his attack would lead to richer material for him and Eden McCoy’s Josslyn.

“Please let this be what we’ve been asking for,” wrote an X poster whose handle is, not surprisingly, “Jex.” “Give our golden couple the story and treatment they and we deserve.”

“Eden and Evan share so much chemistry,” marveled @JEX18_. “Utilize this energy and stop wasting it. It felt real with Josslyn and Dex since the beginning. [It’s] why I instantly shipped them.

“Hopefully, they’re getting worthy material to work with. Don’t disappoint us, General Hospital.”
